Friends and Family Homecoming Tour Photo Gallery
Now that we are safely settled in Seattle for the summer, we’d like to share some of our favorite photos from our homecoming tour. Sean and I had such a great time visiting friends and family and playing music for new friends and old, that we are thinking of doing another tour of a similar nature in the fall, with even more stops along the way! What better way to tour than to combine spending time with the people we love and playing music?
Our first show back in the U.S. was in Hayward, Wisconsin, near the home of my grandparents. We played for the Friday night fish fry, for a patio crowded with many of my grandparents friends and lots of Hayward locals. It was nice to ease into performing in the U.S. in a setting that was similar to busking on the streets of Europe, playing un-amplified music to the dinner crowd.
We had a great wonderful time hanging out with my grandparent’s and my family after the show. When planning the tour, we had talked about how cool it would be to play a few tunes with my grandpa, who is a great pianist and entertainer. There wasn’t a piano at the venue for this show, but maybe next time….
The next night we played for a very attentive audience at Dunn Bros Coffee in Anoka, MN, where we took the opportunity to debut a few original songs that had so far only been rehearsed very quietly in various hostels in Europe.
My mother and my good friend’s daughter. They were both lovely audience members.
I got to give three impromptu violin lessons to first time students on this trip! And of course, Sean always lets the kids jam out on his guitar.
House concert in Milan, MN, where my dad, Steve Olof Larson sat in on a few tunes as a guest musician.
Our final homecoming concert in Seattle was a wonderful ending to our travels. For now….
